FRANKLIN—James Thomas Albers, 70, passed away on Jan. 21, 2015, his 48th wedding anniversary. Born in Greensboro, North Carolina, and reared in St. Louis, Missouri, he was a son of the late George Nelson Albers and Edith Faye Daniels Albers, and was predeceased by his infant brother, Ralph Albers.

Tom was a Navy veteran, security guard for over 30 years with the Newport News Shipyard, and a member of the Harvest Christian Fellowship.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dawn Brunk Albers; three daughters, Connie A. Rathbun (Nick) of Zuni, Darlene A. Bradshaw (Jessie) of Gates County, North Carolina, and Susan A. Holland (John) of Courtland; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Halley and Blake Bradshaw, Sara and Matthew Rathbun, Joshua Jones and Allison Holland; and two brothers, Daniel Raymond Albers of Omaha, Nebraska, and George Edwards Albers of Rogersville, Missouri.

The memorial service with military honors will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31, in Kingdom Life Ministries, 26151 Delaware Road, Franklin, with Pastor Matt Kidd and the Rev. Randy Wright officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
