Rogers helps Lady Broncos get on board

This season’s losing skid for the developing Franklin High School Lady Broncos hit nine games this past Friday evening, after dropping a TriRivers District basketball game to Appomattox Regional Governor’s School 39-9.

Tanasja Rogers led the Broncos in this match with five points, while the Lady Dragons’ Trishina Crawley led all scorers and tied a season-high with 15.

On Jan. 7, the Broncos ran into the Brunswick High School Lady Bulldogs, who defeated the young team 71-13.

Rogers again led the Broncos in the losing effort with five points.

Wednesday’s game against Southampton High School was held due to ice and will be played at a later date.

The Broncos (0-9) are scheduled to face the Sussex High School Lady Tigers in Franklin today at 7 p.m.
