FRANKLIN—Martha Carew Cale Blythe, 96, widow of Mallory B. “M.B.” Blythe Jr., passed away on Jan. 16, 2015.

Born in Roxebel, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Dancy Cale and Minnie Jilcott Cale.

Mrs. Blythe was a member of Bethel Friends Meeting.

Survivors include two sons, Malcolm B. “Mac” Blythe and his wife, Annie Sue, of Franklin, and Douglas C. Blythe and his wife, Julie, of Athens, Texas; three grandchildren, Delbert Blythe and his wife, Angela, Jason Blythe, Jonna Hawkes and her husband, Matt; seven great-grandchildren, Dillon, Amber and Winston Blythe, Wesley, Austin, Micah and Tyler Hawkes.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20, in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. James H. Hyatt Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Spring Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, and suggests memorials be made to any favorite charity.
