AHOSKIE, N.C.—Milton James Dilday, 83, passed away on Jan. 14, 2015.

Mickey was a son of the late Obie and Ruby Dilday, and was an Army veteran and a Purple Heart recipient from the Korean War.

Survivors include his longtime companion, Thelma Perry; children, Anita White (Allen) and James Dilday, Jr.; two sisters; and six grandchildren.

The graveside funeral with military honors will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, at Southampton Memorial Park, 27396 Pretlow Road, Franklin, with the Rev. Daniel Mullens officiating.
