CAPRON—Ruth Mae Williamson Edwards, 80, widow of Roger Garvin Edwards, passed away on Nov. 27, 2014.

A native of Dillon, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Lucious and Euna Belle Williamson. Mrs. Edwards was also predeceased by two sons, Roger Gray Edwards and John Edwards; two sisters, Victoria and Laura Dean Williamson; and one brother, Hubert Williamson.

She was a member of Adams Grove Baptist Church, and an honorary member of Drewryville Ruritan Club.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Richard Cory Edwards (Annette) of Franklin, Robin Chris Edwards of Aulander, North Carolina, James Lucious Edwards (Micheal) of Drewryville and Larry Lee Edwards (Judy) of Pleasant Hill, North Carolina; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren (number six on the way).

The graveside funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7, in the Drewryville Cemetery with Pastor Rick Franklin officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, and suggests memorial donations be made to the Drewryville Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 125, Drewryville, VA 23844.
