FRANKLIN—Eva May Duport, 88, a native and former resident of Huntington, Long Island, New York, passed away on Nov. 30, 2014, at the East Pavilion. She was one of 12 children born to the late John H. and Gussie Rhodes. She was predeceased by her husband, George Parks Duport Sr., and by 10 siblings.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Anita Ann Nicotra (Lenny) of Yorktown, and Kathleen Mae Drewry of Franklin; a son, George Parks Duport of Chesapeake; a sister, Edna Miller of Huntington, New York; seven grandchildren, Pete Ryan, Cliff R. Ryan, Douglas S. Duport (Harmony), Laurie D. Savoie, Patricia Duport, Paul G. Donadio II and Sheree N. Black (Timothy); 12 great-grandchildren, Krystal Ryan, Aiden Ryan, Alina Ryan, Makenna Savoie, Connor Goldbach, Madison Taylor, Kennedy Taylor, Maxx Gift, Taylor Black, Tyler Black, Carolina Duport and Sierra Duport.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. James W. Browder III officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News, Virginia.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the East Pavilion for the excellent care they provided during her two-year stay.
