Robert R. Blackney

FRANKLIN—Robert Richard “Bob” Blackney, 78, passed away on Nov. 28, 2014.

A native and longtime resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was a son of Edwin and Margaret Blackney. He was also predeceased by a sister, Grace; and a brother, Edwin Jr.

Bob was a retired wireman, and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of Franklin Masonic Lodge No. 151 AF&AM. His hobbies were fishing and hunting, and he was a Baptist.

Cherishing his memory are his wife of 46-plus years, Theresa A. Blackney; one daughter, Beth Anne Young; one son, Robert R. “Corky” Blackney Jr.; two brothers, Russell and Harry Blackney; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and cousins.

The funeral with Masonic rites will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
