Bryan B. Midyette Jr.

SUFFOLK—Bryan Bonner Midyette Jr., 75, passed away on Nov. 28, 2014, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Born in Aurora, North Carolina, he was the only child of the late Bryan Bonner Midyette Sr. and Daisy Jones Midyette.

Bryan was a veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps, and retired after 37-½ years of service as a supervisor of the Scale House with Union Camp Corporation.

An avid outdoorsman, Bryan enjoyed hunting, fishing and socializing with his many friends and especially his family. He was a member of the Bronco Rod and Gun Club and the Forks of the River Hunt Club.

Bryan leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 33 ½ years, Dianne Midyette; two daughters, Carolyn M. Hayden and Ann Raye Bezek (Michael); three sons, Bryan B. Midyette III, Charles A. Midyette (Karen) and Charlie G. Hayden (Carrie); eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Jim George and the Rev. Bill Eley officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home, and other times at the residence at 7579 Elwood Rd.
