CARRSVILLE—June Davidson Futrell, 82, the widow of Charles G. Futrell, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at the East Pavillion.
She was born in Scotland Neck, North Carolina, a daughter of the late John Madison and Lena Radcliffe Davidson, and was also predeceased by a brother, John S. Davidson, and a sister, Hilda Gray Davidson.
June was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, the Happy Homemakers Club of Carrsville and was a Pink Lady for over 25 years at Southampton Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include, a daughter, Cynthia F. Bruce (David) of Franklin; two sons, Gary Charles Futrell and Timothy Mark Futrell (Mary) of Courtland; three sisters, Nancy Manning (Carl) of Tarboro, North Carolina, Mary Whitehead (James) of Gloucester and Betty Bellflower of Hampton; one brother, William Davidson (Evelyn) of Greenville, Tennessee; a special sister-in-law and nephew, Mary Ruth Davidson and Greg Davidson of Franklin; five grandchildren, Emily F. Bien (Stephen), Joel Futrell (Brandy), April Coen (Jeff), Hannah Margaret Futrell and Connor Mason Futrell; and three great-grandchildren, Savannah Futrell, and Henry and Oliver Bien.
The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, in Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, and suggests that memorial donations be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association, 459-2405, or to the Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.
