FRANKLIN—Goldzsie Meadows Duncan Cabell, 92, widow of Tulane M. Duncan and R. Baird Cabell, passed away on Nov. 6, 2014, at Chesapeake General Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Wheeler S. and Lona Mae Chewning Meadows, and was predeceased by eight siblings.
She is survived by her niece, Barbara W. Brown (Frank L. Brown Jr.) of Chesapeake, who Goldzsie considered her daughter; four sisters, Maebelle M. Cook of Farmville, Hedy M. Maness (Kelly) of Lynchburg, Frances M. Keller of San Diego, California, and Connie M. Scott of Gainesville, Georgia; two brothers, Donald E. Meadows (Pat) of Monroe, North Carolina, and James Thomas Meadows (Bonnie) of Salisbury, Maryland; six grandchildren, Michael W. Brown (Jeannie), Gary T. Brown (Teri), Debi B. Wagner (Buddy), Tracey Hobbs, Amy Neprud (Scott) and Justin Hobbs; seven great-grandchildren, Kendall Euken, Corey Euken, Courtney Brown, Stephanie Stout, Ashlee Warman, Parker Neprud and Haylee Faye Neprud; one great-great-grandchild, Shane Warman; and other numerous nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9, at Franklin Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Lou Ventura officiating. A reception will follow the service at the church.
The family suggests memorials be made to Franklin Presbyterian Church, 405 Lee Street, Franklin, VA 23851.
