The Windsor High School Lady Dukes had little resistance on Thursday, as they easily defeated the Franklin High School Lady Broncos 3 -0 in a district volleyball game at Windsor High School.

Although they lost in straight sets 25 -10, 25-10 and 25-14, FHS girls volleyball coach Faith Hewett said that it was a wonderful game played by both teams, and as long as the girls show progress as the season goes on, she is satisfied.

“Our goal is progress and not perfection, and we are reaching our goal,” Hewett said.

The Dukes Head Coach Stacey Griffith said after the game, “We played well as a team and are now preparing for two games next week with Surry and Sussex Central and the final tournament.”
