Resident opposes development near county schools

To the Editor:

On Oct. 27, the Southampton County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on a proposal to allow a fast food restaurant, gas station and strip mall to be built at the corner of Ridley Road and Route 35.

This proposed development is right across the road from the Southampton County Middle School and High School.

I, for one, do not want our inexperienced student drivers and school buses exposed to the heavy and confusing traffic this development will cause.

Call your Board of Supervisors member and let them know you are opposed to this dangerous development, or better yet, go to the public hearing.

Time is running out.
