STRASBURG—Joseph Anderson “Joe” Lee Jr., 74, born and raised in Branchville, Virginia, passed away on Oct. 7, 2014, in Winchester, Virginia.

He was a son of the late Joseph Anderson Lee, Sr. and Nora Wade Lee, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Lee; one sister, Shirley Kee; brother-in-law, Tommy Kee Sr.; and his brother, Jimmy Lee.

Joe was an Army veteran.

Left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Terri Godsey, husband, Ronnie, and Susan Barber, husband, Butch, all of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; two sons, Kevin Lee, wife, JoAnn, of Conway, North Carolina; and Chip Peacemaker and wife, Selena, of Strasburg; one sister, Barbara Jean Fickler and husband, Gene, of Boykins, Virginia; one aunt, Callie Long of Severn, North Carolina; 14 grandchildren, Shari Mills, Brandy and Jenna Holmes, Megan Hargrave, Lisa Replinger, Melissa Milteer, Kelly Matthews, Justin and Hailey Barber, Ashley Flythe, Seth and Amber Peacemaker, Travis and Courtney Henderlite; 14 great-grandchildren; and three nephews, Tommy Kee Jr., Jerry Kee, and Alan Kee.

The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, at Boykins United Methodist Church, Boykins, with the Rev. Michael Baugham officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
