Dawud Yusuf Ward, 21, was arrested by Isle of Wight Investigators at the Isle of Wight Sheriff’s office.

As previously reported, Ward had allegedly left the state and went to New Jersey. But, Martin said that investigators aren’t completely certain that was true because the information came from some of his family members.

Ward has been charged with the following:

• 1 count of receiving stolen goods

• 4 counts of breaking and entering w/intent to commit a felony

• 5 counts of grand larceny

These charges come from the four burglaries, which initiated a search warrant for a residence in the 5400 block of Old Stage Highway. Further charges are possible depending on the investigation.

Ward is being held at the Western Tidewater Regional Jail with no bond, and was scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday.
