Jazz concert will require a ticket

A week or so ago, we were excited to announce we’d be sponsoring a special performance by Rhythm in Blue, the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band’s jazz ensemble. We were also thrilled to be able to tell you that the concert, to be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, in the Franklin High School Auditorium, would be free and open to the public. We hoped it would be well attended, but didn’t expect quite the response we’ve gotten so far.

After initially announcing this event would not require a ticket to attend, it has quickly become evident that we will need to issue tickets for the event to ensure that all who show up will have a seat for the performance. Starting today at noon, tickets to the concert will available for pickup at The Tidewater News’ office at 1000 Armory Drive in Franklin, and they will still be free of charge. If you are interested and have any questions, please stop in and see us or call 562-3187 for more information.
