The sheriff’s office received two reports, the first on Oct. 2 and the second on Oct. 3, that car windows were broken out and purses were taken. A common factor is that the burglaries all occurred at elementary schools. The cities of Suffolk and Franklin have had the same occurrence as well as Sussex County.

One of the victim’s credit cards was used at Walmart and New Dixie Mart in Franklin. Any information on these crimes can to reported to 653-2100 or the Crime Line 653-2900.
