Save the date

Last year, The Tidewater News was proud to host the U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Band, who performed a community Christmas concert at Franklin High School. The event was free to the public, very well attended and, quite frankly, exceeded our expectations as well as those of many of our guests.

And since we all had so much fun last year, we thought we’d do it again!

So this year, The Tidewater News is excited to announce that it will be hosting the U.S. Fleet Forces Band for what is now our second annual community Christmas concert. Under the direction of Lieutenant Commander Mark Corbliss, the U.S. Fleet Forces Band Wind Ensemble is the largest of the U.S. Fleet Forces Band’s performing units, and will perform at one of our local high schools the night of Thursday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m.

The event will once again be free and open to the public, and we hope it to be another exciting, entertaining and heartwarming evening spent with our friends and family. There will be more information to come in the weeks ahead as we finalize a venue and ticketing procedure, but we wanted to share the news with you right away so you could save the date on your calendars.

We’re thrilled and honored to be able to bring this event to Western Tidewater, and look forward to seeing each and every one of you there.
