BOYKINS—John Wesley Bryant, 75, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014, at Southampton Memorial Hospital.

He was a son of the late Irvin Wingate Bryant Sr. and Nita Barnes Bryant, and was also predeceased by a sister, Jean Mathias, and a brother, Irvin Wingate Bryant Jr.

Mr. Bryant was a member of Boykins United Methodist Church, a U.S. Army veteran, and had retired from Union Camp after 40 years in the Facility Mechanics Maintenance Department.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Sandra Clements Bryant; and a brother, William Jennings Bryant (Mary) of Chesapeake.

Services are private and the family suggests memorial donations be made to Boykins Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 347 Boykins, VA 23827, or to the charity of one’s choice.
