Emma Ruth Eley DuBose of Webster Groves, Missouri, originally of Franklin, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, at the age of 90.

Beloved wife of the late Robert DuBose; dear mother to daughter Rebecca Ward and sons James DuBose and Robert DuBose Jr.; dear grandmother to Helen Marie, Cassie, Lyndsey and Jamie; dear great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren.

A former physical education teacher, Emma Ruth was a whirlwind of activity to her friends and family, active in her community and church and and had a life-long love for children, tennis and gardening. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A remembrance of her life will be held at the Webster Groves Presbyterian Church on Sunday, Oct. 5, at 1:30 p.m. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Webster Groves Presbyterian Church or the St. Louis Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
