To the Editor:

That was an excellent column by Warren Beale regarding the efforts of FSEDI and its partners. They are strongly to be commended. It isn’t easy to attract new industry or employers. Every other political subdivision in the state and most in the country are trying to lure these same employers. The competition is almost overwhelming. Our area, if we want to entice these industries or employers to come here, needs to be completely cooperative. We need to zone land for industry and encourage the extension of natural gas lines and rail service. Perhaps these latter two could be accomplished by tax breaks offered to industry to offset their costs of extending the utilities to a chosen site. In any event, I want to say, “Well done FSEDI; please keep up the good work.”
