To the Editor:

Recently the citizens of the town of Wakefield were without drinking water for over five days due to a mechanical failure in the water treatment plant. The Food Lion Executive team was swift to respond to my request for assistance. Food Lion donated over 20,000 bottles of water to the citizens of Wakefield. I thank Food Lion for their generosity in assisting the citizens of Wakefield in their time of need. It’s good to know we have corporate citizens as great as Food Lion.
