COURTLAND—Karen Glatfelter Kinney, 65, passed away Friday, August 22, 2014, at home after a courageous ten year battle with cancer.
Family, Franklin Baptist Church, children, and the Courtland Agricultural Museum were her passions. Book Buddies with Franklin Schools and Franklin Baptist Children’s BANG ministries were events to not be missed. Serving as a Deacon was one of her greatest joys.
Her parents, Paul Glatfelter and Doris Catlinger of York, PA, predeceased her in death. She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Edward Martin Kinney, Jr; stepsons Elliott and Joshua Kinney; stepmother Nancy Glatfelter of Windsor, PA; sisters Diane McClintock (Mac) and Nancy Newcomer (Charlie); brother Bruce and stepbrother Alex Winter (Heather); nieces Melanie McClintock, Kim Davis, and Mandy McHenry; nephews Paul McClintock and Cory Glatfelter.
The family would like to thank Karen and Edward’s families, church family, Bronco family, caregivers, and many friends for their help, support, and prayers.
Reception and visitation will be held in the Franklin Baptist Church fellowship hall at 5pm on Tuesday, Aug 26th, and will be followed by a celebration of Karen’s life at 6pm in the chapel.
