Thieves hit cars in driveways

FRANKLIN—Between 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 17 to 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 18, two vehicles had items stolen from them while parked in their driveways on Regency and Kings lanes, said Franklin Police Department Spokesman Tim Whitt. Both vehicles were left unlocked.

One of the vehicles had two pistols stolen from inside, a Glock .45 caliber and a Beretta .22 caliber. The other vehicle had several items taken, an undetermined amount of loose change, two hunting knives, class ring, Cannon digital camera and Nikon binoculars.
