FRANKLIN—Members of the former Franklin Kiwanis Club came together to honor the memory of one of their own.

Jack Kauss, a former Kiwanis Lt. Governor of District 21 and past president of the Franklin Kiwanis Club, was recently remembered by his friends and family.

Jack was a former coach and mentor for many young baseball players, and he worked with the Franklin Parks and Recreation for many years.

An information center was donated by the former members of the Kiwanis club in June with his family and friends present. This is located at the gate to Armory Field and is anticipated to get a lot of use.

Pat Ballard, past president, welcomed the guests and members. Kevin Insull, another past president, spoke about Jack’s sense of humor and devotion to the community.

Jack’s widow, Nellie Kauss, thanked the members and her family that were able to attend the dedication.

Clay Hyatt of the Franklin Parks and Recreation also attended the ceremony and was presented the keys to the bulletin board.
