FRANKLIN—Gary Lee Skinner Sr., 73, passed away on Aug. 1, 2014, in Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk.

Mr. Skinner was predeceased by his father, Earl B. Skinner Sr., and his wife of 44 years, Susan Miller Skinner.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Grace Modlin Skinner of Suffolk; one daughter, Stacey B. Degaraff of Chesapeake, two sons, Gary Lee Skinner Jr. of Suffolk, and David Skinner of Franklin; one brother, Earl B. Skinner Jr. of Suffolk; and six grandchildren.

The memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 5, in Wright Funeral Home, 206 W. 4th Ave., Franklin, with the Rev. Dr. Donald R. Rhoton officiating.
