I would like to take this opportunity to thank the people who were so wonderful to me when I recently went to Southampton Memorial Hospital for an emergency visit.
The hospital personnel were truly professional in their evaluation and treatment of me. I truly believe that without the quick diagnosis and the immediate availability and action of my surgeon, Dr. David Diep, I would have died that day.
The ER doctor and nurses were patient, kind and efficient. From there I went to surgery, where the operating room and anesthesia personnel administered the same kind and gifted treatment.
From there I spent time in PACU with more great nurses. Then I spent several days in intensive care, where I received the same awesome care from the nurses. From ICU, I transferred to the second floor and again received the same caring treatment.
By the way, this was Memorial Day weekend and so the hospital was very busy, yet treated me like I was the only one they had to take care of.
I can’t say enough good things about how fortunate we are to have such a wonderful hospital right here in our town and the caring people who work there. My prayers are that God will bless each and every one of the hospital workers in a special way.
