SUFFOLK—Michael Copeland, 59, of 319 Wellons St., died on Monday, July 15, 2014, in Sentara Obici Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Douglas Copeland and Louise R. Copeland.

He was the owner and operator of Copeland Tree Service for over 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Adriane Copeland of Suffolk; one daughter, Adriane Michelle Branch of Suffolk; four sons, Michael Kane of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Ke’lone Branch (Victoria), Anthony Branch (Shametrice) and Michael Copeland Jr., all of Suffolk; 8 sisters; 10 brothers; 11 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral will take place at 1 p.m. Monday, July 21, in Gethsemane Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ernest Simmons delivering the eulogy. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
