Everett G. Crocker Sr.

CAPRON—Everett Gibson Crocker Sr., 81, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014.

Mr. Crocker was a native of Johnston County, North Carolina, a son of the late Mamie Creech and Ivey Clifford Crocker, and was predeceased by a son, Everett Gibson Crocker Jr., and three brothers, Gilbert, Edward and Billy Crocker.

He was a member of Thanksgiving Baptist Church in Selma, North Carolina, and an Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was the owner of Capron Auto Service, which was home of the Crocker Breakfast Club.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Peggy Hocutt Crocker; two daughters, Pamela Ferguson (Jerry) of Jarratt, and Margaret Vann of Severn, North Carolina; three sisters, Lanie Rogerson, Alene Goolsby and Shirley Blackman; three brothers, Grant, Jimmy and Tommy Crocker; five grandchildren, Elizabeth and Brooke Vann, Mark Ferguson, Stacy Hardester and Melinda Creech; and four great-grandchildren, Katie and Darby Hardester, Zoie and Drake Creech.

The graveside service took place at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 6, at the Capron Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Cook officiating.
