FRANKLIN—Whittie L. “W.L.” Darden Jr., 68, passed away on July 1, 2014.

He was the son of the late Whittie L. Darden Sr. and Elsie Price Darden. W.L. was also predeceased by his wife, Wanda Gay Darden, and his sisters, Dot Perry and Ann Carr.

W.L. had retired from International Paper as a supervisor, was a former president of the Community Hunt Club, PACE Local 1488, and most recently president of the Holland Ruritan Club.

Survivors include his stepdaughters, Dee-Dee Nislein and Dawn Burr; his stepson, Danny Nislein; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will take place at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Wright officiating.

The family will receive friends after the service and suggests memorials be made to your favorite Relay for Life Team.
