FRANKLIN—Rose Marie Jones Edwards, 86, passed away on June 21, 2014, at the East Pavilion.

She was born in Richmond on Dec. 12, 1927, the only child of the late Roy and Ora Marshall Jones.

Rose was also predeceased by a son, Larry Edwards.

She was a long-time member of Sycamore Baptist Church.

A beloved wife and mother, she is survived by her husband of 68 years, C. Tyler Edwards Jr.; one daughter, Lynn E. Marks, and her husband, Wayne, of Quinton; one son, Tye Edwards III and his wife, Katie, of Capron; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Edwards of Franklin; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a special cousin, Vernell Nicholson of Norfolk.

The funeral will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Roger Crump officiating. Burial will follow at Southampton Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home, and suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Sycamore Baptist Church, 31120 Sycamore Church Road, Franklin, VA 23851.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff for their care of Rose during her time at the East Pavilion.
