The end of the school year also brings to a close the first year of our regular School News pages in the Friday edition of The Tidewater News. When we began running it as a regular feature back in September, we had high hopes it would prove to be a popular one. And according to the feedback we’ve received, it has been.

Those of you who regularly read our School News pages know that we made every effort to regularly feature photographs and information from all of the schools in our coverage area. And thanks to the administrators, principals and teachers who partnered with us this year to highlight the accomplishments and good times had by their students, we were largely able to do just that.

We will continue to publish school news as it is available, but until the first bell rings this fall the regular School News page is also on summer break. To all of our school partners in Western Tidewater, we wish you a safe and relaxing summer.
