MIDLOTHIAN – Harold F. Stauffer Jr., 79, of Midlothian, passed away June 19, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Stauffer Sr. and Burnice Walshaw Stauffer; four sisters, Sally L. Stauffer, Marjorie I. Rogers, Mary Ann Stauffer and Cynthia C. Stauffer. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jane G. Stauffer; two daughters, Julie R. Stauffer and her husband, Tod Olson, and Jacqueline D. Stauffer; sister, Joan E. Brosious; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Stauffer graduated from Selinsgrove High School in Pennsylvania in 1952. He graduated from the University of Richmond, with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in June 1967. He was a hospital corpsman in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1956. He was a pharmaceutical research chemist at A.H. Robins and Proctor and Gamble. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2013, at The Brandermill Church.
