FHS athletes receive awards at spring ceremony

FRANKLIN—Mona Sumblin, assistant athletics director of Franklin High School, introduced seniors and their escorts at the beginning of the annual athletic awards for spring sports program.

Opening remarks by Teri Zurfluh, president of the FHS Athletic Boosters Association, were next given at the event in the auditorium of Franklin High School on Monday.

In turn each coach and coaching staff gave remarks about the season and presented special awards to players of their sport. The highlight of the program was the awarding of the school’s highest honors, the Bronco and Bronkette award. Receiving it this year was Cheyanne Banks, a member of the girls tennis team, and Terry Warren, a member of the boys soccer team.
