Franklin men arrested for narcotics violations

FRANKLIN—Four Franklin men have been arrested and released on secured bonds following a narcotics investigation conducted by the Franklin Police Department, said Capt. Tim Whitt, spokesman for FPD.
Following the investigation, indictments were issued by the Southampton County Circuit Court for the arrest of the suspects.
On May 29, Franklin police arrested the following for the various narcotics violations:
- Kamleshkumar Patel, 58, of Queens Lane. Charged with 1 count of distribution of a controlled substance, synthetic marijuana. Released on $1,000 secured bond.
- Oscar Vann Cobb, 48, of the 100 block Broad Street. Charged with 1 count of distribution of Oxycodone. Released on $20,000 secured bond.
- Clarence Banks, 38, of the 200 block of Washington Street. Charged with 1 count of distribution of heroin. Released on $2,500 secured bond.
- Rodney Alan Murphy, 36, of the 2000 block of Harris Street. Charged with 2 counts distribution of crack cocaine. Released on $2,000 secured bond.
