I agree wholeheartedly with Tony Clark’s 5/4/14 column. Chief [Phil] Hardison, without a doubt, made the wrong decision when he didn’t provide officers to protect the premises and apprehend the burglar.

The FPD ended up looking very inept and the blame should lie with Hardison and not the officers working under him. It was Hardison’s call and he made the wrong one and his excuses don’t hold water.

I think the City Manager should take a long, hard look at this instance and make the right decisions.
