FRANKLIN—Alfred Herbert Marshall Jr., 64, passed away on April 30, 2014.

He was born in Portsmouth, a son of the late Alfred Herbert and Jeanette Ellis Marshall, and was a retired dairy farmer.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 38 years, Brenda Saunders Marshall; two daughters, Amy M. Salvitti and husband, Matthew, of Franklin, and Wendy Gail Marshall of Courtland; a sister, Rebecca M. Fowler of Franklin; a brother, Rodney V. Marshall and his wife, Sharyl, of Elmira, New York; and his one little special grandchild, Alexis Nicole Salvitti.

The funeral will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 4, in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Curtis Faison officiating. Burial will follow at Southampton Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
