FRANKLIN—The Franklin Broncos Boys Soccer team opened the 2014 season with a 3-0 victory against the Surry Cougars Monday afternoon.

“It’s always great to start the season with a win and a district win at that,” said Franklin High School boys soccer Head Coach Clay Hyatt.

It was mostly an offensive game at the Armory Park Sports Complex, as the Broncos were constantly on the attack against the Cougars. Angel Padilla scored twice in the first half and added his third score in the second half to seal the win for the Broncos. Padilla received assists by Kyle Smith and Isiah Ranken.
