Lindsay D. Boone

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Mr. Lindsay D. Boone of North Capital Street, passed away on March 11, 2014.
He was born in Isle of Wight County on Dec. 8, 1930, to the late James W. and Beulah Hill Boone.
Lindsay was a longtime member of Pulaski Baptist Church and a graduate of Hayden High School.
He was also a member of St. John Grand Lodge of F.&A. Masons, Inc. of Washington.
During the Korean Conflict, Lindsay bravely served in the United States Army and received a Purple Heart.
He is survived by one daughter, Sandras Barnes of Hyde Park, Mass.; one niece, LeVonne Boone-Randolph; and three nephews, Robert Boone, Bernard A. Boone and Rodney Boone. Lindsay is also survived by one great-niece, Lori B. Lawrence, and many other relatives and friends.
The homegoing service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2014, in Pulaski Baptist Church, 1071 Carrsville Hwy., with the pastor, the Rev. Dr. R.E. Rodgers, delivering the eulogy. The interment will follow in Picot Cemetery.
On the day of service, his remains will be placed in church for viewing by 9:30 a.m.
The traditional service with dignity will be conducted by Wm. M. Johnson and Sons Inc., 224 S. Main St., Franklin.
