FRANKLIN—Linda B. and Eugene M. Dilday of Franklin celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday.

They were married on March 14, 1964, at Reid’s Baptist Church in Reid, N.C. The Rev. Benny Crawford, uncle of the groom, officiated.

The Dildays have two children, Beth D. Spitzley (married to Kenneth Spitzley III) of Chester, and Bryan G. Dilday (married to Erinn Dilday) of Chesterfield.

They have five grandchildren: Logan Spitzley, 16; Kenneth “Kass” Spitzley IV, 13; Lydia Spitzley, 9; Corinne Dilday, 4; and Coyan Dilday, 3.

Gene is a retired papermaker from International Paper in Franklin, and Linda is a retired tax preparer from H&R Block.

They celebrated their golden anniversary on an eight-day Caribbean cruise.
