WINDSOR—Jean Turner Joyner, 85, passed away on March 9, 2014. She was born in Colosse, Va., the daughter of the late Robert Lee Turner and Emma Rhodes Turner. She was predeceased by her husband, Ellis Lee Joyner; and sisters, Marjorie Brinkley and Grace Turner.

She attended Franklin Presbyterian Church, and was a past member of the Ladies Golf Association at Cypress Cove Country Club.

Jean is survived by her daughters, Joyce J. Gerald, Deloris J. Joyner, Debbie J. Flythe; son, Micheal L. Joyner; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Robert “Bobby” Turner; and loving K-9 companion, Gyp.

The funeral will take place Thursday, March 13, at 11 a.m. in Parr Funeral Home and Crematory with Chaplain Carmen Scoggins officiating. Burial will follow at Southampton Memorial Park Cemetery in Franklin, Va.
