VIRGINIA BEACH—Mrs. Rosalyn Frankye Holland Thrift Glenn of Chesapeake passed away on Feb. 21, 2014, in Sentara Windermere Rehabilitation Center in Virginia Beach. She was born on March 15, 1949, in Franklin, to Roswell Langston and Ernell Harris Holland.

Frankye graduated from Hayden High School and attended both Virginia State and Norfolk State Colleges. During her younger years, she confessed Jesus Christ as her personal savior and joined New Hope Baptist Church.

After 25 years of service, she retired from the Chesapeake Department of Social Services as a social worker.

Frankye was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Jackye C. Holland Britt. Her memory will be cherished forever by her husband, Reginald Glenn; her children, Terri (Kevin), Barry, Christi, Gerri and Jody; 15 grandchildren; one aunt; nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives.

A homegoing service will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, in New Hope Baptist Church, 1415 Rosewood Avenue, Franklin. The Rev. Anthony Goodwyn is the pastor. The committal and benediction will be in Southview Cemetery.

On the day of service, her body will be placed in church for viewing by 11 a.m.

A traditional service with dignity will be conducted by Wm. M. Johnson and Sons Inc., 224 South Main St., Franklin.
