WINDSOR—Mrs. Rebie Lawrence Perry of Courthouse Road, departed this life on Jan. 29, 2014, while a patient in Consulate Healthcare Center.

On June 29, 1929, she was born in Isle of Wight County to Samuel and Laura Sessoms Lawrence. She attended school in both Isle of Wight and Southampton counties. At an early age, Rebie was baptized and joined Piney Grove Baptist Church. She met and married Percy L. Perry Sr. in 1946, and to this union two sons were born.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Her memory will live forever in the hearts of two sons, Percy L. Perry Jr. (Maxine) of Plattsburgh, N.Y., Kenneth Perry of Baltimore, Md.; two brothers, Rudolph Lawrence Sr. (Martha), Samuel H. Lawrence (Hildread); five grandchildren, Monica Warren, Marcus Williams (Chris), Percy K. Perry, Kenneth Perry, Christopher Perry; seven great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Virginia Lawrence and Ruby Lawrence; nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives.

The homegoing service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, Piney Grove Baptist Church, 1071 Carrsville Hwy., Franklin, with the pastor, the Rev. Alfred Brown Sr., delivering the eulogy. The committal and benediction will be in Southview Cemetery. On the day of service, her body will be placed in church for viewing by noon.

The family will assemble at the funeral home at 12:15 p.m. for the procession. A traditional service with dignity will be conducted by Wm. M. Johnson and Sons Funeral Home Inc., 224 S. Main Street, Franklin.
