Lack of pride in community shows on roadsides

To the Editor:
Some roadsides in the Boykins-Branchville area are littered with trash. Beer cans and beer bottles are abundant. Draw your own conclusions. This can only be the result of uncaring and lazy behavior.
We already pay for trash dump sites. Do we also have to pay for roadside trash pickup? All of this comes out of the taxpayers’ pockets.
A person’s character is indicated by how they treat their family, home and community. I ask people to take more pride in our community. Let’s try to improve, folks.
