FRANKLIN – On January 21, 2014, Johnny went home to be with God and his family. The son of George and Rose Kitchen was born July 1, 1945 in Handsom, VA. Johnny will be remembered by working at S.W. Rawls, Inc. for over 20 years and at Forest Pines. Johnny loved his family and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He enjoyed talking electrical work with his son and favorite son-in-law, David Grizzard.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jo Anne Luter-Kitchen; his son, Lee; his daughter, Lynn Grizzard; grandchildren, Alexis and Isaac; sisters, Louise Mears, Gracie Vargo (John), Lizzie Darden, and Ella Grizzard. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; a great-great nephew, Drake Brock; a special sister-in-law Lil Sis, Linda Murphy; a very special nurse, Selena Everett, who took excellent care of him; Nikki Vaughan, CNA, who took care of him; and good friends.

The funeral will be held at 11 AM Thursday, January 23, 2014, at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Roger Crump officiating.
