WINDSOR—Windsor Town Manager Michael Stallings and Mayor Carita Richardson both confirmed Thursday that there’s an ongoing criminal investigation into Arlis “Vic” Reynolds, the town’s former chief of police.
Reynolds was fired the morning of Saturday, Dec. 21; no explanation was given because it was a personnel matter, according to Richardson.
Stallings also confirmed that the Virginia State Police and Attorney General’s Office are the investigating agencies. Further, no criminal charges have been made.
Richardson verified the town officials have not yet received any requests – formal or otherwise – of records pertaining to the former police chief.
In the meantime, First Sgt. R.D. Riddle is leading the police department.
