FRANKLIN-Elizabeth Joyner Baldwin, 83, passed away January 8, 2014. Born in Newsoms, she was a daughter of the late Edwin Hunter and Lucy Barnes Joyner. Mrs. Baldwin was a retired shoe salesman for Russell & Holmes in Franklin and a member of High Street United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her first husband, William Edward “Billy” Turner and her second husband, Robert Henderson “Bob” Baldwin; two sisters, Anna Ferguson and Betty Brock and two brothers, Thomas Joyner and Lewis Joyner.

Left to cherish her memory are four children, Carolyn Turner Whitley (Randy), William Edward Turner, Jr. (Sandy), David Christopher Turner (Darlene) and Michael Glenn Turner (Billie); eight grandchildren, Kevin Turner (Beth), Jason Whitley (Jennifer), Stefan Turner (Jane), Laura Thomas (Ben), Shelbie Turner, Clayton Turner, Melissa Owens (Mike) and Michael Rose (Elaine); six great-grandchildren, Connor Thomas, Katelyn Duck, Mikaela Owens, Matthew Owens, Caelan Rose and Ava Rose; two sisters, Rachel Rhodes and Hunter Cowling and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 11 AM Friday, January 10, 2014 at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Gibson and the Rev. John Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home and suggest memorials be made to Franklin Fire and Rescue Squad, 100 S.
