Police investigating robbery at SunTrust [Update]

Two white male suspects wearing green hoodies, jeans and dark ski masks entered SunTrust bank in downtown Franklin on Friday and robbed the place with hand guns at approximately 10:50 a.m., said Capt. Tim Whitt, spokesman for the Franklin Police Department.
The suspects fled on foot toward Franklin Street with an undetermined amount of cash, he said. They are believed to have had a getaway car, Whitt said.

One person was transported to the hospital following the incident complaining of hip and leg pain from having to get down on the floor quickly.
Deacon Samuel Biggs of Franklin and his wife were two of the people in the bank at the time of the robbery.
Biggs said he and a friend in front of him were talking about the wait when two men in dark clothing about 5’10” tall and 160 pounds came in and demanded that everyone get on the floor.

One stood at the entrance and watched it, while the other leaped over the counter and told the teller to fill the bag up. Biggs said the teller complied, and the two men fled on foot from the bank. He said all of this happened in less than a minute.
Biggs added that they seemed young.
Whitt said that the two suspects were around 165 pounds, 5’9” to 5’11”, and late teens to early 20s.
No one inside was hurt or robbed, he said. The Franklin Police Department was on scene within three minutes of getting the call from the alarm company, which was at 10:55 a.m.
