CARRSVILLE—Marvin Curtis Darden, 73, passed away December 3, 2013. He was a son of the late Rufus and Dorothy Piland Darden. Mr. Darden was a retired Machinist on #1 Paper Machine in the Paper Mill Department of Union Camp Corporation.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Kim D. Vansant (Bobby), of Courtland; his sons, Lin Darden (Lois), of Sunbeam, Marvin Brent Darden, of Boykins and Lyn Pinner (Jennifer), of Walters; his brother, Raymond Darden, of Carrsville; ten grandchildren, Jessica Duke, Brittney Harrell, Emily Vansant, Tommy Pope (Kristen), Erin Gunn (Kevin), Tara Darden, Lindsay Pinner, Austin Pinner, Patrick Pinner and Wyatt Pinner and six great-grandchildren, Gabriel Harrell, Braylen Harrell, Ryland Defoor, Brooklyn Walters, Kyleigh Gunn and Rhiannon Pope.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Worth officiating.
