Winnie Edwards Zimmerman, 61, passed away on December 3, 2013. Born in Southampton County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Outland Edwards and Helen Rawles Edwards.

She is survived by her children, Marcus Zimmerman III of Tennessee, Kimberly Holmes and her husband, Horace of Courtland, Nicholas Zimmerman and his wife, Otelia of Boykins; grandchildren, Amanda Holmes, Sylvia Scott, Ian Holmes; sister, Martha Edwards. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Bruce Edwards.

Services will be private. Friends will be received Wednesday evening and Thursday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the home of Nicholas and Otelia Zimmerman in Boykins.
