To the Editor:

Once again, the United States is taking a beating by North Korea. It is amazing to me our government lets North Korea get away with kidnapping a United States citizen, coincidentally a North Korean war vet. We let them fire at us, shoot airliners down, fire on our allies and pretty much get away with anything. We don’t let other rogue countries get away with that kind of bullying on us or our allies, so why is it we let Kim Jong-un and North Korea get away with stuff like this? One can only deduce we are afraid of them or China or both. The bottom line though is it really is low for our government to abandon a citizen of the United States.
